Private Bude EV Charging Stations

The apartments at Canalside, Bude have a private EV charging point, right in the car park. This is not available for use by the general public.

The EV charging point is provided by Pod Point and is a 1x 7kW 32 A Type 2 Mennekes. There is a £10/vehicle registration fee which is an add on when you book. This is a charge we have to pay to register new vehicles and make no profit from it. However we are really supportive of electric vehicles and for bookings of 7 days of more we will cover this registration cost ourselves. To do this, simply add the EV Charging Point Registration during booking and then use voucher code EVWEEK. Electric usage for charging is payable directly to Pod Point via their app.

Other electric vehicle charging stations

For other chargers, just 3 minutes walk from Canalside is the Crescent car park which has 2 charging spaces though GeniePoint:

1 x  43kW 63A  Type 2 Mennekes
1 x  50kW 125A  JEVS (CHAdeMO)
1 x  50kW 125A  CCS (Combo)

About 5 minutes walk away is at the Parkhouse centre are 2 x  22kW 32A Type 2 Mennekes, through NewMotion.

6x 7kw chargers have been installed in the car part at Crooklets beach.

*** Note (Jan 2024). The chargers are currently not operational whils they are moved ***

Work is underway at Summerleaze beach to install 6x 7kW chargers, however these are not operational yet.
