Back for its second year, Bude Literary Festival 2023.
The festival program commences on Wednesday 17th May with a fun festival quiz, followed by main events from Thursday 18th May until Sunday 21st May (with an additional community event on Monday 22nd May). The festival office will be located at Bude Library this year and will be available to provide information about our events and sell tickets.
The festival will be held across three main venues: The Castle Heritage Centre, Bude Library, and The Parkhouse Community Centre, all within 5 minutes walk from Canalside apartment.

From 16th July 2022 The Monster Slip and Slide will be here! Situated near Widemouth Bay, just a few minutes drive from Canalside, this is sure to be a fun activity for everyone.

Bude farmers market runs Friday morning from April to September alongside the lower wharf, just 3-4 minutes stroll from the 2 Canalside. Take a look, it’s open from 10am to 3pm. Although quite a small market there is a great range of local produce and crafts. After taking a look around the market, there are plenty of places to explore along the wharf including the Olive Tree, takeaway coffee from the Split Bean and even try the Barge, a floating café!

With the number of electric vehicles on the road ever increasing, it’s important to know where the electric vehicle charging stations are whilst on holiday.
Here at Canalside, we have a private electric 7kw charging point within, only available to the 14 apartments.
In addition to this, just 3 minutes walk away in Crescent Car park there are two 50kW charges, and 5 minutes walk away in the Parkhouse centre there are two 22kW chargers.
